Good Food

How can a restaurant be voted Business of the Year 2006 by the La Quinta Chamber of Commerce and also mentioned as having one of the "Best Burgers in the Valley" for 3 straight years be called BUNZ?

Bold colors and bright decor make Bunz hard to ignore. When I stepped inside I thought I was stepping into a psychodelic love pad!

It seems that BUNZ is their name and burgers are their game. Since I was heading to City Hall, I thought I'd have lunch first. I ordered the combo with fries and a drink. The BUNZ were very fresh and the burger was a real beef burger not some small smashed pancake. Crispy French Fries made it yummier still.

As I stumbled back to my car after being wowed at Just Boni at Home I noticed a new hair salon across the street called Alankara. Hmmm... let's see what they have to offer.



I met the owner, Manomi DeSilva, who proceeded to let me know that Alankara is the former salon Charisma on El Paseo. She moved the salon to the Old Town La Quinta area because of it's small, intimate charm and the the beautiful salon space available.
